Hehehe! Only if they have an old lady senior citizen class! But I think it would be awesome to watch some of the guys on here team up and give it a try.
I will volunteer to photograph history being made.....and to bring ace bandages, heat and ice wraps, ibuproben, and liquid pain relief!

I agree....I think goer should step-up and put-up some sponsorship money for a team or two for this event! We will just have to see who is racing whether it is worth the drive out there for the race.

Last day
Today is the last day of gun season in Buffalo County. This buck was taken this morning by Chad's uncle on his cousins land across from theirs. Cole has been hunting with them, going out at 5:30am and then checking out the local buck pole at night before bedtime!
Cole and the buck......with a doe for earn a buck behind him.

Gonna put that "southern" girl in shock mode by putting her on the 2 upper in the dead of a U.P. winter eh Pam???? Never knew you were hiding a 2-upper in the stable up there?
I'm more worried about putting her on the back of a sled with my son driving than her getting cold! Before he went into the Navy he owned a zrt800 with ported 900 jugs which dynoed at 196hp with a M10 suspension........and he rode like a madman......
One time he had his "then" girlfriend on the back and she kept hitting him to slow down and she kept yelling in his ear that her @ss was killing her. Eventually he stopped and there was a screwdriver sticking through the seat!

New stickers for 08 came in the mail today. Rick opened the Michigan registration....GREEN, then he opened the trail permits GREEN! WTF? Rick figured the registration and trail permits should have been free with AC now paying the state!
Oh, and I had the last laugh....the registration is in my name! LOL

Our past experience riding over Superbowl week-end has been really good. Usually not that many people up here or if they were up here they ususally go home early....so it should be a good time for the ride.

Each job bank employee cost the auto industry $130,000 per year. Currently Chrysler has 711, GM 1404, and Ford 1476 laid off U.S, Auto Workers still on job bank. These numbers are way down since the early retirement buy-outs a few years ago.
In 2007 it cost the US automakers 546 million dollars to pay people not to work
Retired autoworkers get pension almost equivalent to full pay.
The average Michigan automaker employee makes more than $100,000 per year.
GM has lost 21.3 billion dollars so far in 2008.

GM CEO Wagoner - 24 million total package, about 6 million cash
Chrysler CEO unknown as Chrysler is a private company and they have not released any records but they have their hand out for bail-out money.

Christmas Tree Ships
There use to be sailing ships which sailed the Great Lakes carrying Christmas trees. The most famous of these was the Rouse Simmons which while carrying a full load of Christmas trees from Thompson Michigan to Chicago was caught in a snow squall and sank.
The Thompson township committee are continuing the tradition and have joined other communities this year in providing trees. Last week-end Rick and several other people went out in the woods and cut and wrapped Christmas trees. Today Rick and Dan drove down to Cheboygan where the trees will be loaded on the Coast Guard ice breaker the Mackinaw and taken to Chicago. Once to Chicago they will be offloaded at the Navy Pier by Sea Cadets, Young Marines and the Sea Explorer Scouts and will be provided to needy families.

Gosh it does look like an arctic cat boneyard! Best looking sled in that shop is the 120!
Rick just said yesterday that he has to put the ac 2upper in the garage and start tearing it down and fixing it if anyone is planning on riding it this season.
It must be an arctic cat issue that now that the snow is flying they are in the work shops getting fixed!

I'm sure they would go for another brand if they could find as good a deal. Oh and the sleds come with their original warranty whatever that might be. It must suck to still have 06's in the crates

Snowmobile question - Imagine that! LOL
A friend of ours has 2 sons who want to buy snowmobiles this winter. They are looking for good deals. They called the local dealer and were quoted $5500 for 07 - 600 fusions still in the crates. They aren't brand loyal, just looking for a good deal. Is this a good deal? Any suggestions in this price range for them?
